Privacy Notice
1. Who we are
We ("RelayHunt", "we", "us", "our") act as the data controller for personal data processed through the RelayHunt service.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and login credentials.
- Billing data — collected and processed by Stripe (see "Sharing" below). We receive limited billing metadata (plan, status, country) from Stripe.
- Usage data — searches you run, prospects you save, and product telemetry (feature usage, error logs).
- Device data — IP address, browser type, and device identifiers.
- Support data — any messages you send us.
3. How we use your data
- To create and operate your account and provide the Service (legal basis: performance of contract).
- To process payments through Stripe and manage your subscription (contract; legal obligation).
- To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse (legitimate interest).
- To improve the product, analyse usage trends, and fix bugs (legitimate interest).
- To respond to support requests (contract).
- To send product or marketing emails where you have opted in (consent), which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with:
- Stripe — our payment processor for subscription billing, subscription management, payments, and invoicing.
- Infrastructure and service providers — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and error monitoring tools acting as processors on our behalf.
- Professional advisers — legal, tax, or accounting professionals where necessary.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights.
5. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country of residence, including outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens for users in the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, or to resolve disputes. When no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Subject to your local law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us from the address published on the RelayHunt site. We will respond within one month.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging — to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep risks low.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We may also use analytics cookies to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
Terms of Service
1. Who we are
These terms govern your use of RelayHunt (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. "We", "us", and "our" refer to RelayHunt.
2. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
3. The Service
RelayHunt helps freelance web designers discover local businesses that do not yet have a website, generate outreach materials, and manage prospect lists. You must be of legal age (or have authority to bind your organization) to use the Service.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the Service. In particular you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam.
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Attempt to interfere with the security of the Service (including probing, scanning, scraping, or introducing malware).
- Resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or circumvent technical limits of the Service.
5. Account and credentials
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all ownership and intellectual property rights in the Service, including its software, design, and branding. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under your active plan.
7. Payment and subscription terms
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout. You can view invoices, update your payment method, or cancel at any time from the Billing page in the app.
8. Service level
We work hard to keep RelayHunt reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete stored data after a reasonable window.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 6 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill). Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law prohibits such limitation.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your content, unlawful use of the Service, or violation of these terms.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
